Senior Consultant – Procurement & Purchasing Optimization (7-months contract)
Our client, a leading organization located in Toronto, is currently looking for a Bilingual Procurement Officer for a temporary assignment.
Pay rate: $65 per hour Hybrid work model
Contract duration: September 2026 to March 2027
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Modernizing, optimizing, and streamlining the procurement and purchasing functions. Ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and public sector best practices. Reviewing, developing, and analyzing internal controls, purchasing policies, and procurement procedures. Working closely with legal counsel regarding contract negotiations, procurement workflows, and risk management.
The ideal candidate must have:
Fluently bilingual in both French and English 10 years of experience in a similar role Professional Designation: Recognized certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., SCMP, CPSM, or equivalent). Public Sector Experience: Extensive procurement background within the Ontario public or broader public sector, including strong familiarity with public tendering processes. Industry Asset: Prior experience working within Ontario's higher education sector (universities or colleges) is a significant advantage.
