Elizabeth Centre is a fully accredited long term care home in Val Caron, Ontario and serves 128 residents. Val Caron, situated in Northeastern Ontario, is located approximately 18 km north of the City of Sudbury's downtown core. The community offers a blend of urban and rural living, with access to natural landscapes and outdoor recreational activities typical of the Sudbury area. The community is known for its family-friendly environment and is part of a region that has a rich history in mining and natural resources.
Join our team as a Staffing Coordinator!
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Staffing Coordinator is responsible for managing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for resident needs. Key responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date employee information, assisting with recruitment processes, and executing various administrative duties. This involves utilizing scheduling software, monitoring staff absenteeism, coordinating call-ins, preparing reports, managing employee files, and supporting interview processes. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
We are looking for the following qualifications and traits**:**
- Post-Secondary diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong computer skills; including Word, Excel, Google Apps, experience with time and attendance software/HRIS systems an asset
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational skills and effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Strong problem resolution skills with an aptitude to make decisions using sound judgment
- Flexibility to meet workload demands
- Experience scheduling within the limitations of a collective agreement an asset
