Overview of the role:

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Student, Route Settlement, for an existing opportunity within our organization.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, Warehouse & Distribution, this position is responsible for providing documentation and administrative support to the Route Settlement team. This role will focus on organizing, updating, and validating route settlement documentation, supporting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and assisting with audit readiness activities. This position offers exposure to warehouse operations, transportation processes, and internal controls within a supply chain environment.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Organize, maintain, and update Route Settlement documentation and records.
  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy (e.g., proof of delivery, settlement support).
  • Support data compilation and basic tracking for reporting and audit purposes.
  • Identify documentation gaps and follow up with internal stakeholders as directed.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reconciling all case and pallet activities in and out of the warehouse and fresh returns from distribution routes.
  • Ensure defined standardized policies and procedures for daily route transactions (sales and inventory) are reviewed and audited.
  • Review and account for all handheld Transactions and Maestro transactions affecting Inventory in relation to Invoicing, truck adjusts and fresh returns ensuring its validity.
  • Assist the Delivery / Distribution team in training the Drivers and or/ Operators to ensure that Saputo set processes are strictly adhered to.
  • Coordinate to all departments; Sales, Warehouse, Inventory Control, Accounts Receivable and other Departments as required, for any discrepancies to ensure corrective actions are taken and issues are accounted for accordingly; i.e. proof of deliveries, payments, credits, and other claims.
  • Ensure that End of Day Documentation including invoices and BDR’s are received from all drivers in a timely manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Route Settlement and Warehouse Operations teams.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary training in General Business/Administration/Accounting; related experience would be a suitable alternative;
  • Minimum 2 years’ office experience;
  • Intermediate business software skills (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • A solid and effective team player;
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently
  • Proven commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Strong organization and analytical skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure;
  • High level of attention to detail is essential

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Hourly Rate: $18.25/hour
