We are looking for an Occupational Health and Safety co-op student to join our Health and Safety for a 4-month placement. Support the ATCO Gas & Pipelines Health & Safety team by assisting with safety communications, field activities, data analysis, and onboarding materials. Gain hands‑on experience with safety programs, inspections, and industry regulatory requirements. Who you are: Must be enrolled in a co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university. Enrolled in an OHS, science, engineering, or related program Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in both field and office environments Basic data analysis skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Valid Class 5 driver’s license To apply: Indicate on your resume how many months you are available for and that you are applying for the May 2026 Co-op Term. What you will do: Create safety campaign materials and update safety content in systems like Intelex and SharePoint Assist with facility and field inspections, documenting hazards and verifying controls Participate in field tailgate meetings and team meetings to support safety initiatives Analyze safety statistics and contribute to reporting and trend identification Support onboarding by preparing orientation and training materials Conduct legislation and internal standards gap analyses Assist with organizing files, updating safety program documents, and other administrative tasks Please note that only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
