EHS Administrative Assistance - Day shift
Join our passionate team at Baxter Healthcare Corporation, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department. Responsibilities
As an EHS Administrative Support, you will handle a range of operational and administrative tasks, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Regular Production Floor Visits: Support a safe working environment by conducting assessments, investigations, and data collection.
- Collaboration with Operational Team: Work closely with the team to successfully implement EHS initiatives and improvements.
- Scheduling and Leading Activities: Schedule safety training for new hires, lead Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities, and coordinate safety drills.
- Documentation and Event Coordination: Prepare and distribute EHS-related documentation, coordinate waste pickups, and prioritize plant EHS events.
- Filing and Coordinating: Maintain and coordinate EHS documents efficiently.
- 1-2 years of applicable experience
Job Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or Ontario Grade 12 Equivalency program
- Diploma in Environmental, Health, and Safety programs (excluding JHSC)
- Demonstrated capability to display and advocate for environmental, health, and safety principles
- Technology competence
- High comfort level in interacting with employees
- JHSC certificate
Preferred Experience:
- EHS related experience
- Understanding of EHS policies and practices
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to collaborate successfully within a team setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

We understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.
The estimated salary range for this position is $52,736 - $79,104 annually, which reflects base salary as well as estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company and individual performance outcomes.
