Please note: This is a full-time,18-month contract position As a Procurement Administrator, you'll play a key role supporting procurement, inventory, and material management for utility infrastructure projects across Alberta. Working closely with procurement, warehouse, and project teams, you'll help ensure critical materials are sourced, tracked, and delivered efficiently. Responsibilities: Process receiving documentation and packing slips within the inventory management system. Prepare and issue purchase orders based on bills of materials, as directed by the Procurement Specialist. Assist with the preparation and evaluation of vendor Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Obtain, review, and compare supplier quotations to ensure the best value, quality, and service, and follow up with suppliers as required. Maintain vendor price list databases after receiving supplier pricing to support procurement selection and purchase order issuance. Issue pick requests to the warehouse team and coordinate activities between procurement, inventory, and warehouse functions. Track deliveries, support expediting, and communicate order status updates to internal stakeholders. Assist the Team Lead/ Inventory Controller with updating inventory replenishment requirements and related records. Assist with maintaining the inventory database in Acumatica, ensuring manufacturers, suppliers, part numbers, and replenishment parameters remain accurate and up to date. Assist with contract administration, including document tracking, filing, and general administrative support. Monitor and manage the shared procurement inbox, responding to inquiries and routing requests appropriately. Reconcile supplier invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation. Support inventory replenishment activities and generate procurement and inventory reports as required. Perform other administrative duties as directed by the Procurement Specialist. Education: High school diploma is required. Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Logistics, Procurement, Purchasing, or a related field is considered an asset. Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation through Supply Chain Canada, procurement or purchasing certificates from recognized post-secondary institution, or other supply chain/logistics certifications are considered assets. Experience, Technical Skills, and Competencies: 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, administrative support, accounts payable, or vendor management. Previous experience as a Purchasing Clerk, Procurement Administrator, Administrative Assistant, or a similar role is considered an asset. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and inventory management systems; experience with Acumatica is considered an asset. Knowledge of purchase order creation and tracking, vendor database management, inventory management systems, document control, and records management Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Experience in the electric utility industry or knowledge of electrical materials and distribution systems is considered an asset. Why Join Primary?
