Each day, FortisAlberta employees strive to exceed customer expectations while maintaining a focus on our commitment to safety.APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 16, 2026REPORTS TO:  TITLE: Customer Connections Student DEPARTMENT: Customer Operations  WORK LOCATION/OFFICE:  Airdrie Kingsview                                                               STATUS: 30 Temp - Hourly  NUMBER OF HIRES: 1                                    DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the Manager Customer Connections, the Customer Connections Support Student will thrive on providing high quality and accurate work. The role will use these skills to ensure the quality of records and information flow associated with customer quotes for new services, account reconciliations and processing refunds is done successfully. This role will act as a champion for the FortisAlberta brand, committed to providing exceptional customer and stakeholder service.      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

Create, record, and work closely with the experienced Support Team on incoming inquiries and quotation status of all new distribution services in the Customer Relations Management (CRM) system. Assist the Quotation Analysts with correspondence, customer letters, schedules and contracts associated with new service quotations and the overall quotation/application process. Investigate and resolve problems for CRM requests. Support Project Relations and assist customers with initial service applications for new and upgrade service to ensure the applications have all required non-technical information. Audit and research applicable quote letters to ensure accuracy of customer contribution information and application of appropriate investment levels. Follow up with customers to review project status or close cancelled or stale-dated requests. Transition refund records to electronic files.

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently and remotely. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers, key stakeholders and team members. Be able to independently make decisions during high volume periods and under stressful conditions. Have a proven track record in continuous improvement – willing to challenge the ‘status quo’ and providing sound recommendations to improve processes. Readiness to collaborate and work as part of dynamic team. An aptitude for forward-thinking and leveraging technology. Demonstrated ability in sound judgment, critical thinking & problem solving. Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy. Has a general understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently enrolled in a Business Administration or equivalent program at an accredited post-secondary institution and planning to return to a post-secondary institution in a full-time capacity.

  SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
