Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $54630 - $72387.4. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.
This position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and individual performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 5% of annual base earnings.
The Associate Buyer is responsible for maintaining accurate purchasing item data as well as supplier info. They are also responsible for ensuring the production teams receive the supplies and material they require in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role partners with other Buyers, leadership, production planning, and non-production teams to understand production material needs and adjust procurement data accordingly while adhering to function standards and S&C Policies & Procedures.
What You Will Do:
- Work alongside other Buyers to understand a specific set of commodities required for certain production lines and work with suppliers to acquire the needed materials in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Tracks purchases, monitor vendor quality and maintain records of supplier performance and information.
- Act as the primary point of contact with suppliers, work closely with them to address timing and quality issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with both production and non-production teams to ensure that materials and production supplies are provided in a timely manner.
- Maintain suppler trackers outside of Oracle database.
- Maintain purchasing item data.
- Maintain supplier catalog information.
- Analyze purchasing data to spot trends and opportunities.
- Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Operations or Supply Chain Management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, adjusting communication approaches based on the audience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy.
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills and an ability to identify potential issues and seek support for resolution.
- Ability to work in manufacturing and assembly environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, and Excel
Physical Effort:
Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
Work Environment:
Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
