Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk Location: Mississauga, ON Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Pay: $27.50–$30.00/hour (based on experience) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk to support payroll processing and accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll administration, invoice processing, accounting software, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities Collect, review, and verify employee timekeeping information for both union and non-union employees. Process payroll accurately, including regular hours, overtime, leaves, bonuses, and commissions. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner. Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records. Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization before payment. Perform accounts payable duties, including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor communication. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as required. Assist with accounts receivable processes when needed. Maintain organized financial documentation and records. Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to complete daily tasks efficiently. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of payroll experience required. Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience required. Minimum 2 years of experience using QuickBooks required. Experience with payroll systems such as Easy Pay is an asset. Strong understanding of payroll processes and accounting principles. Experience handling both union and non-union payroll is preferred. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
