RATE OF PAY: $96,951 to $114,059
START DATE: July 13, 2026
HOURS OF WORK : 8:00am- 4:00pm

Nature & Scope Of Position
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Superintendent of Special Education.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities Include
Collaboratively work with the Special Education department, school based teams, and with community partners. Facilitate the implementation of any Ministry of Education initiatives focused on autism, behaviour support, and other collaborative initiatives to address student behaviour. Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of board personnel including Registered Behaviour Analysts and Educational Support Staff. Support caseload management for the Behaviour Support Services team, including administrative and clinical supervision. Lead the board-wide Behaviour Management System training and maintenance of training records, training content, scheduling, and the maintenance and distribution of BMS related Personal Protective Equipment. Provide and co-ordinate training/professional development to build educator capacity on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), structured learning instructional methods and resources at both the board and school level for all students with special needs. Collaborate with the special education department, Occupational Health & Safety, and Human Resources to support Workplace Violence response protocols. Collaborate on Ministry and school board initiatives as they relate to transitions, behaviour, or other special education needs; including representation on multiple committees and community tables and pilot project oversight and implementation. Support principals, teachers and other school staff when designing transitional activities/plans/strategies for students with special needs; supporting best practices for students in alignment with professional standards and board policies and procedures. Maintain coordination of transitions to GECDSB for students identified in any Ontario Autism Program delineated service alongside administrators and special education personnel for students with complex needs. Support operational best practices for the Special Education department including but not limited: to research development, policy and procedure consultation, professional development, project management, staff training, and collective bargaining.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will possess:
A member in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, with preference given to a Registered Behaviour Analyst. Completion of a relevant Masters degree with equivalent field experience in behavioural science. Experience providing and/or facilitating adult learning and training. Experience working with children and youth who have special education needs. Training and experience in implementing ABA structured learning principles. Knowledge of the elementary and secondary education system in Ontario and special education issues. Qualified trainer in Behaviour Management System (or willing to be trained). Excellent organizational and coordinating skills. Experience leading and working in a multi-disciplinary team.
