About the role
About Signal Signal Technologies is a vertically integrated platform connecting Canadian dealers to the U.S. wholesale vehicle market — handling everything from export facilitation to remarketing to finance solutions. We're scaling fast, and our operations team is growing with us.
About the Role We're looking for a sharp, detail-driven problem-solver to own our daily payment and reconciliation operations — keeping funds and transactions moving accurately across our platforms. This isn't a traditional accounting role — it's an operational role for someone who thrives on digging in when something doesn't add up, and who thinks clearly under pressure. As part of our finance team, you'll report to our Controller and work closely with our Account Management and Remarketing teams to keep transactions moving smoothly.
What You'll Own
Daily Financial & Payment Operations (~80%) Run the daily payment sweep — reconcile incoming funds by vehicle (VIN) across our auction and marketplace sales channels Route funds to the correct destination (loan payoffs, our vehicle financing structure, customer disbursements) Convert and settle funds USD→CAD daily ahead of our daily processing deadline Reconcile cash transactions systematically across roughly 400 vehicles per month Execute lending portfolio transactions (loan draws, payoffs, covenant tracking) with multiple external lenders Manage workflows supporting our vehicle financing structure Own remarketing collections — following up on payments from vehicle resale transactions Handle partner facility billing reconciliations and follow-ups Maintain cash flow forecasts (short and medium-term)
Investigation & Follow-Up (~20%) Dig into transactions that are stuck for payment or reconciliation reasons and figure out why Coordinate with Sales, Remarketing, and Finance teams to get blocked transactions moving Support month-end close by completing bank reconciliations and other treasury-related reconciliations (FX settlements, intercompany cash movements, etc.)
What We're Looking For Preferably 2+ years of dealership finance admin, automotive operations, or logistics/equipment finance experience An organized self-starter — happy to chase down what's missing rather than wait for it Strong investigative and critical-thinking skills — you notice when something doesn't add up, and you dig in to figure out what the issue is and how to resolve it Comfortable working across multiple systems and platforms daily (we'll train you on our proprietary vehicle inventory management platforms); other tools include Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Business Central (ERP system) Able to start work by 8am Pacific to meet our 11am daily processing deadline
What We Offer $65,000–$75,000 based on experience Hybrid schedule — 1 day/week in office 3 weeks paid vacation plus sick / personal days Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) participation Comprehensive extended benefits — health, dental, vision, life, and more Real ownership from day one, with a role that will expand as the company scales A collaborative, high-trust team without a lot of bureaucracy
Our office is located in South Surrey near the Pacific Border Crossing (176 st and 4th Ave). Location is not accessible via public transit.
