About the role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role plays a key part in connecting individuals and families with essential services, financial supports, and community resources. You will provide a mix of administrative support, client service, and community outreach in a trauma informed, culturally sensitive environment.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience in administration or community support.
- Experience in client service, outreach, community-based work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of community resources, supports and other agencies is an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Must pass YWCA Security Clearance with a successful vulnerable sector and criminal background check.

Duties:
- Provide welcoming, client-focused support and referrals to community services.
- Complete administrative duties, data entry, and maintain accurate client records.
- Conduct outreach to improve awareness and access to available supports.
- Collect and report program data in line with funding requirements.
- Support interpretation/translation needs (Language Line Available).
- Prioritize workload based on urgency and client needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and support a trauma-informed environment.
- All other duties as requested by management.
