About the role
Our client, a company operating in the distribution and transportation sector, is currently looking for a Logistics Technician to support its operations in Saint-Hyacinthe. The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating deliveries and ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations. This position is ideal for an organized, proactive individual who is able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where no two days are alike.
Responsibilities:
- Plan delivery schedules for drivers and representatives based on operational needs (emergencies, calls, adjustments);
- Update purchase orders (carriers, dates, delivery information);
- Monitor and update the operational dashboard (delivery status, volumes, pallets, parcels, etc.);
- Sort, file, and organize transportation and delivery documents by truck, date, and carrier;
- Coordinate communications with various stakeholders during changes, emergencies, or additions;
- Welcome drivers and handle operational issues as needed;
- Scan and forward delivery documents to the appropriate departments (billing, administrative follow-up);
- Verify truck availability in line with maintenance schedules and planning;
- Follow up on deliveries with clients according to established agreements;
- Support the team in resolving operational issues;
- Ensure compliance with loading capacities (pallets, units, volume);
- Monitor and optimize daily logistics flow.
- Performy any other related tasks.

Requirements:
- DEP or DEC in transportation logistics or a related field;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Excellent command of French (spoken and written);
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license;
- Good knowledge of the territory and road network;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
- Experience with hazardous materials management, an asset;
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics), an asset.
Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 per year
Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
