About Mount Milligan Mine
Located approximately 155 kilometres northwest of Prince George in central BC, the Mount Milligan Mine is a conventional truck-shovel open-pit copper and gold mine and concentrator with a 60,000 tpd capacity copper flotation processing plant.
Mount Milligan operates with comfortable camp accommodations equipped with private washrooms, TV, Wi-Fi, an onsite gym, and other recreational activities. Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region.
Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.
About The Opportunity
We are looking for an Administrator, Engineering & Infrastructure to join our Mount Milligan Mine team. In this role, you will provide day to day administrative and coordination support to the department, ensuring efficient operations across engineering and infrastructure activities. The role supports document control processes, procurement coordination, payroll and time tracking, and training administration while maintaining accurate records and compliance with company procedures.
This position also coordinates workforce logistics, including accommodations, site access for contractors and visitors, and scheduling support for shutdown activities. The Administrator assists with meeting coordination, documentation, and follow up while serving as a central point of support within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general day to day administrative support to the department. Attend meetings as required, take notes, and follow up on action items. Support and coordinate activities during major shutdowns. Act as the department’s document champion. Ensure SOPs and SWPs are reviewed, updated, distributed, and controlled in accordance with document control procedures. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in line with company standards and compliance requirements. Manage employee accommodation bookings and adjust schedules based on rotations, leave, and operational needs. Coordinate site access for contractors and visitors, ensuring compliance with safety and security requirements. Maintain contractor and visitor records (e.g., ISN system). Assist with payroll support activities, including time and attendance tracking. Enroll employees in required training programs (e.g., Teams, Bridge). Support ongoing tracking of training compliance and records. Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in SAP. Maintain tracking spreadsheets for PRs and Purchase Orders (POs). Enter and manage invoices, including processing Service Entry Sheets for payment. Lead by example and consistently demonstrate safe work practices. Ensure administrative processes (e.g., contractor onboarding, documentation) align with safety standards. Act as a central point of contact between Engineering & Infrastructure, contractors, and other departments. Support coordination and communication across teams to ensure efficient workflow and information sharing. Provide additional administrative support, as required, to meet departmental and organizational needs. Adapt to changing priorities and support evolving operational requirements.
About You
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skillset and experience:
High school diploma, required. A certificate or diploma in business administration, or a related program, an asset. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a fast‑paced work environment. Experience in the mining industry is considered an asset. Previous clerical or administrative experience is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Proficiency in data management software and tools, such as SAP. Understanding of administrative systems, record management, and reporting practices. Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to support and promote adherence to safety and environmental standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong people skills with the ability to build positive working relationships. Ability to contribute to a safety-focused and collaborative work environment.
Working Conditions
Camp-based role working 12-hour days on a 14 day on, 14 day off rotation, with accommodation provided during rotation. Exposure to indoor/outdoor environments, heavy equipment, noise, and moving parts. PPE always required. Safety-sensitive environment with zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy. Bus transportation provided from regional locations.
