About the role

The LTL Customer Service Assistant (CSA) plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day coordination of freight movement within an assigned region. Responsibilities include customer communication, appointment scheduling, shipment tracing, order entry, and administrative support. Working closely with customers and internal teams, the CSA helps ensure freight is managed efficiently while delivering a high level of customer service. Specific Responsibilities include: Respond to customer inquiries and provide timely updates on shipment status, delays, returns, OS&D, and delivery appointments. Schedule, confirm, and maintain pickup and delivery appointments within established timelines. Coordinate with Operations, Warehouse teams, and Regional Coordinators to support efficient freight movement and delivery consolidation opportunities. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, shippers, and consignees. Prepare and communicate shipment status updates, ETAs, and freight readiness information. Enter and maintain customer orders accurately, ensuring all required information is complete and dispatch-ready. Create and update customer, company, and location records within internal systems. Provide account coverage and support for team members as required. Assist with customer service initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate will possess: Customer service experience. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and accuracy when handling customer information, appointments, and order entry. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems and technology. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography is considered an asset. Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00. This job is classified under NOC Code: 64409.
