Bevo Farms Ltd is the largest supplier of propagated plants in North America, providing greenhouses,
field farms, nurseries, and wholesalers across the continent with healthy, vigorous, pest-and-disease free plants. Bevo Farms Ltd operates three sites in the lower mainland of British Columbia and two
facilities in the province of Alberta.
SUMMARY
As part of efforts to support the continued growth of Bevo’s industry-leading agricultural business, we are seeking an Operations Administrator to provide key operational support across multiple departments.
The Operations Administrator supports daily operations by coordinating logistics, managing documentation, assisting with HR and health & safety tasks, and ensuring smooth communication between teams, vendors, and external partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities may shift based on operational needs and seasonality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate import/export shipments and communicate with airport and brokers
- Support receiving and dispatch activities, including border-related inquiries
- Assist Propagation Manager with shipment tracking and coordination
Vendors & Supplies
- Manage vendor relationships (e.g., uniforms, cleaning supplies)
- Place orders, track invoices, and resolve issues
- Maintain inventory of office and operational supplies
Time & Attendance
- Assist with reviewing and editing employee timecards
- Coordinate with supervisors to ensure accuracy
Health & Safety
- Maintain H&S records and documentation
- Prepare first aid reports and support H&S committee requirements
HR Support
- Assist with TFW support (appointments, supplies)
- Track and maintain employee certifications (First Aid, Forklift, etc.)
- Provide general administrative support to HR
Administration & Compliance
- Maintain records for audits (CFIA, internal, accounting)
- Organize and manage operational documentation
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiencies
- Support implementation of new systems and procedures as required
Working Conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak operational periods as required
- Combination of office and operational/production floor environment
- Ability to work with confidential data and handle if effectively.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company events.
REQUIRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of administrative or operations support experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must possess reliable transportation

- Hourly Pay: $18/hour
