Retention Administrator
About the role
The John Howard Society of Kingston & District is recruiting a professional and motivated Retention Administrator. The right candidate will join a highly motivated team with a track-record of very high achievement and an appetite for change and innovation. This position will support the administration and retention engagement and client followup for outcomes related to our employment services in addition to supporting the Employment Services team with other administrative functions as reuqired. This positoin is a contract position ending March 31, 2027.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the needs of the Retention Specialist, with administrative tasks relating to Operational Excellence Incentive (OEI) targets
- Provide support by contacting post-employment and inactive clients for reengagement into services
- Upload documentation to support retention outcomes and meet operational targets
- Maintain current knowledge of local labour market trends and employment and training opportunities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files of clients and update the appropriate database with case notes and other relevant data
- Provide support and coverage for other departments within the agency, such as Reception, Resource and Information, Intake and Assessment Services etc., in the event of staff absences or other shortages
- Maintain knowledge of Employment Ontario programs and services; provide information to clients as required
- Act in accordance with the Employment Ontario guidelines and within the policies and procedures of John Howard Society
- Attend community events to promote ReStart and the John Howard Society of Kingston and District as needed
- Maintain appropriate statistical information and reporting procedures as required.
- All other duties as required
Education & Experience
- Diploma in the social sciences field
- Two (2) years of work experience in Administration; experience in an employment services environment will be considered an asset
- Experience working with clients who have high/complex needs and/or have multiple barriers to employment
- Experience working in a fast-paced, outcome-based environment is an asset
- Knowledge of community resources within Kingston and the surrounding areas
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, databases and email
- A satisfactory Criminal Police Check and VSC

Hour of work are 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week)
