Saltwater Equipment Supervisor

Our company's success is driven by our dynamic, highly skilled, and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area's economy and sense of community.    Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd. is seeking a permanent full-time Saltwater Equipment Supervisor based in St. George, New Brunswick. The Saltwater Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Saltwater Equipment Department, ensuring equipment is maintained, deployed, and available to support operational requirements across multiple aquaculture sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and support the team of Saltwater Equipment Labourers.
  • Coordinate the movement, deployment, and availability of equipment across multiple aquaculture sites.
  • Establish an inventory control and traceability method for all equipment & assets managed by the Saltwater Equipment Department
  • Plan and prioritize daily work activities to support operational requirements.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues and guide employees.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee projects, support employees, and address operational challenges.
  • Manage employee schedules, vacation approvals, and payroll submissions.
  • Source and purchase equipment by obtaining vendor quotations and coordinating purchase orders.
  • Complete reports, record keeping, inventory tracking, and general administrative duties.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience in the aquaculture industry is required.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based systems.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to travel.
  • Knowledge of saltwater equipment and aquaculture operations is considered an asset.
