About the role
About the role The maintenance clerk is part of the mining sector maintenance team. He is responsible for supplying the tools and equipment required to meet operational maintenance needs. He ensures that tools are properly classified, clean, and organized to facilitate retrieval and ensure rapid replacement of defective equipment. He also participates in weekly planning by preparing the mechanical kitting kits required for scheduled maintenance work. Essential Duties Maintain 5S standards in terms of organization and cleanliness. Maintain tools and ensure they are in good working order. Check that regulated equipment (e.g., slings, lifting devices, etc.) complies with regulations. Ensure the availability and grouping of parts and tools needed for maintenance work. Prepare weekly mechanical kitting kits in collaboration with the planning team. Provide logistical support to maintenance teams (e.g., tool delivery, tracking material needs, managing equipment returns). Comply with, understand, and promote company policies and regulations, particularly those related to health and safety. Keep work areas clean and safe at all times. Report any incidents or accidents to your supervisor. Perform any other related tasks associated with your duties. Training & Experience Knowledge of industrial maintenance tools and parts. High school diploma and/or recognized maintenance training, combined with relevant mechanical experience. 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position. Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office (an asset). Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset. Valid driver's license required.
