Customer Service Representative - Recreation - Term Full-Time (September, 2026 to December, 2027)

Work Location: Bold Centre Multiplex, Lac La Biche, AB

Purpose of the position

Reporting to and under the general direction of the Supervisor, the CSR provides quality and timely delivery of services within their area of responsibility. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while seeking solutions to moderate problems.

Technical Duties

Assumes first point of contact with guests using County recreation facilities and related programs. Processes transactions, cancellations, issues refunds, and completes cash outs and other financial transactions within authority while adhering to established processes. Enforces applicable policies, facility rules and conditions of use. Drafts, seeks approval, proofreads, and sends emails, data, reports, applications, documents, forms, and other correspondence on behalf of the department. Creates, inputs, and organizes related department files and records into electronic databases and physical locations.

General Responsibilities

Maintains excellent customer service with colleagues, customers, members of Council, local stakeholders, and the public. Fosters a positive work culture and assists in continuously improving the County culture. Other related duties and emergency response as assigned.

To be successful in this position, you will hold these qualifications:

Grade 12 Diploma Certificate in Business Administration, or a related field. Diploma preferred. Customer Service-related training is an asset. Standard First Aid, CPR ‘C’, AED certifications or willing to obtain. 1-2 years related work experience. Bring superior customer service and a high level of professionalism in public relations. Demonstrate organizational and time management skills. Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite. Cash handling/POS system experience an asset. Demonstrate the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Position Details

Length of Term: Term Full-Time (temporary coverage) approximately 12 to 18 months (to be determined) starting in September, 2026

Schedule: 40 hour work week, 8 hours per day. Shifts involve days, evenings and weekends as scheduled by the Supervisor

Location: Bold Centre Multiplex, Lac La Biche, AB

Hourly wage range: $23.50 to $33.35 depending on qualifications and experience
