As a Communications Coordinator you will:
- Support senior leaders with day-to-day internal and external communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Liaise with internal service and area teams across the business to assist in managing requests for the internal Portal page.
- Develop internal communications campaigns for our internal Portal page to further support brand awareness of services and areas across the business.
- Maintain and manage an internal project management tool and coordinating updates between team members on an ongoing basis. This includes, but not limited to: design requests for Portal page images/graphics, social media graphics/assets, website thumbnail and banner images, and other marketing material as needed.
- Participate in monthly, bi-monthly, and potentially quarterly service and area calls by producing meeting notes and communicating them with service and area leaders post-meeting.
- Write for internal and external materials such as brochures, web article, press releases, among other tactics.
- Assist with compiling, organizing and analyzing statistics on a monthly basis, showcasing lessons learned and room for improvement with actionable tactics to further improve communication initiatives.
- Monitor social media channels schedules and provide real-time progress updates to the Communications team to support the development of accurate and timely public communications materials.
- Liaise with service and area departments and visit project sites to capture compelling stories and news to be communicated internally and externally on a broad variety of platforms including our website, social, and internal Portal.
- Support the development of other communications materials including LinkedIn newsletters, presentations and website articles.
- Monitor the media on a daily basis to alert the Communications team of any urgent requests, news articles, potential crisis, political news, etc. to supplement our ongoing public relations efforts.
- Assist in researching and building media lists to support the expansion of our media relations strategy.
- Develop and assist in collecting data and information for media interviews to support our media relations efforts.
Is this the right role for you?
- Minimum 3 years of communications experience in a corporate setting
- A university or college degree/diploma in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, English or other related fields.
- Experience with Content Management System's is an asset
- Experience writing for social platforms an asset.
- Proficient in full MS Office suite
- You have excellent written, and oral communications
- You are highly adaptable and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- You have excellent time management with the ability to work on simultaneous projects
- You are highly organized with attention to detail
