Leasing Agent Job Type: Contract Contract Duration: 1 Month (with strong potential for extension) Pay Rate: $24-$32/hour Location: Edmonton, AB (100% Onsite)
Your New Company Our client is a well-established residential property management organization with a strong presence in the Canadian market; they are seeking a customer-focused Leasing Agent to join their team in Edmonton to work directly with residents, driving occupancy, and helping create a welcoming living experience.
Your New Role As the Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for marketing and leasing residential suites, maintaining strong tenant relationships, and supporting occupancy goals for the property. You will work closely with the Property Manager and onsite team to ensure prospective and current residents receive exceptional service.
Key responsibilities include: Showing available suites to prospective residents and conducting property tours Screening applicants and coordinating credit, employment, and landlord reference checks Preparing leasing documentation, collecting deposits, and supporting move-in processes Managing online ads and marketing initiatives across various platforms Monitoring rental inquiries, traffic, leads, and suite showings Maintaining accurate records and reporting using property management systems Entering guest cards and leasing activity into Yardi and other tracking tools Assisting with tenant retention initiatives and fostering positive resident relationships Ensuring vacant suites are market-ready and professionally presented Providing administrative support and responding to resident and prospect inquiries
What You'll Need to Succeed 1-3+ years of leasing, rental, property management, or admin experience Previous residential leasing experience strongly preferred Strong sales and closing abilities with a customer-first approach Professional, welcoming, and outgoing personality Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience with Yardi is considered a strong asset Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail Must be available to work Saturdays
