As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist at Palfinger, you will play a key role in supporting strategic procurement initiatives across indirect materials and services. You will partner closely with the Strategic Sourcing Manager to drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and process efficiency within a global manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented procurement professional who thrives in data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect materials and services to achieve cost, quality, and service objectives
• Analyze spend data by category, supplier, and item to identify cost savings opportunities and improve sourcing efficiency
• Issue and manage RFIs and RFQs, including supplier communication, evaluation, and follow-up throughout the sourcing process
• Support supplier negotiations and contract execution in alignment with internal policies and delegation of authority guidelines
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and service level agreements, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business Administration or related field with a strong commercial mindset
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong analytical skills with proven experience in cost analysis, spend reporting, and supplier evaluation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); SAP experience considered an asset
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external suppliers
