About the role

The Construction Administrator supports the construction team by performing administrative tasks involving the day-to-day coordination of construction activities. Main responsibilities will include collection and data entry of timecards, trucking sheets, gravel slips and ensuring electronic files are maintained and updated as needed. You are required to perform all tasks in an effective, complete and professional manner and are responsible for adhering to all policies and values of Coastal Mountain Excavations Ltd. while at work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Construction Administrator is responsible for the following: Support the construction team with active jobs Help track materials, schedules and project documentation Assist with purchasing and delivery coordination Maintain organized files and records Communicate with suppliers and internal team Assist with basic job tracking (costs, hours, updates) Supporting all aspects of construction administration Recording, disseminating, and executing accurate meeting minutes Import and /or export data between different kinds of software Verify accuracy and completeness of data

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES The Construction Administrator will demonstrate the following abilities in their daily work: Strong interpersonal skills Strong oral, written, communication skills Demonstrated ability to effectively manage priorities and business relationships; and ability to work on multiple projects at once Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Willingness and ability to learn new software Problem solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 years’ direct work experience in an Administrative Assistant capacity. Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible experience. Strong knowledge of general office procedures. Able to write and format moderately complex correspondence, including e-mails and letters. Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required. Meticulous records maintenance skills with the ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases. Excellent writing skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability. Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills. High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $27.00-$35.00 per hour Vacation pay (calculated at 4% of total wages earned) Extended health, dental, and vision benefits Life insurance and wage loss insurance benefits Benefits eligibility: After completing 180 continuous days

ADDITIONAL DETAILS Generally, 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday Overtime required during busy construction periods Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada
