About the role
Role Description This part-time, remote Sponsorships (volunteer) role with the Canadian Influencers & Content Creators Association focuses on identifying, securing, and maintaining sponsorships and partnership opportunities that support the association’s initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching potential sponsors, preparing outreach lists, drafting and sending sponsorship proposals and follow-up communications, and supporting virtual meetings with prospective partners. The role also involves coordinating sponsorship deliverables, tracking commitments and timelines, and collaborating with other volunteers to align sponsorship packages with events, campaigns, and member programs. The Sponsorships volunteer will help maintain simple records and reports on sponsor outreach, responses, and agreements, and contribute ideas to improve sponsorship strategies and partner engagement. Qualifications Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with brands, agencies, and organizations, including clear, respectful communication and follow-up. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort drafting emails, sponsorship proposals, and basic presentations tailored to different audiences. Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple sponsorship prospects, track details, and meet agreed timelines in a part-time volunteer capacity. Basic proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, shared documents, video conferencing platforms). Interest in or familiarity with influencer marketing, content creation, social media platforms, and the broader digital creator ecosystem in Canada. Ability to work collaboratively with a remote volunteer team, show initiative, and contribute ideas while respecting diverse perspectives and backgrounds. Previous experience in sponsorships, partnerships, fundraising, marketing, or community outreach is an asset but not required. Comfort working in a volunteer role with a commitment to ethical, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practices in all sponsor interactions.
