Purpose:
THE SAFETY ADMINISTRATOR PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT TO THE SAFETY TEAM TO HELP ENSURE ALL WORK PERFORMED ACROSS THE TACADA GROUP OF COMPANIES IS CONDUCTED IN A SAFE, HEALTHY, AND COMPLIANT MANNER.
THIS POSITION ALSO SERVES AS THE PRIMARY RECEPTION SUPPORT, ENSURING PROFESSIONAL FRONT-OFFICE OPERATIONS THROUGH TELEPHONE RECEPTION, MAIL DISTRIBUTION, COURIER COORDINATION, AND VISITOR ASSISTANCE.
Key Objectives:
- Conduct monthly office and fire extinguisher inspections.
- Track and maintain monthly fleet mileage records.
- Coordinate and schedule all required field safety training.
- Assist with fleet maintenance scheduling and service coordination.
- Process invoices and other department-related expenses.
- Reconcile company credit card statements accurately and on time.
- Provide administrative and operational support to managers and field staff regarding fleet maintenance and required vehicle services.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
- Perform general reception duties, including answering and directing incoming telephone calls to the appropriate departments.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail and deliveries to the appropriate departments.
- Prepare outgoing courier and carrier packages, including coordinating pickups and maintaining shipping records as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Alberta’s driver’s license
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with trade partners, managers & field staff
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in managing trade partners
- Excellent organizational skills
