Funeral Director – Class 1 Logan's Funeral Home | Parry Sound, Ontario $25.00 – $38.00/hr | Full-time (Part-time considered)
Logan's Funeral Home has been proudly serving Parry Sound and the surrounding area since 1885. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, our small, dedicated team is built on honest service and a genuine commitment to helping families through some of life's most difficult moments. We are looking for a Funeral Director to join us and carry that tradition forward. Parry Sound sits in the heart of Ontario cottage country, two hours north of Toronto, on beautiful Georgian Bay. We are surrounded by nature — some of the best hiking, camping and biking in the province. The Role You'll work alongside a tight-knit team of three full-time and two part-time staff, handling all aspects of funeral service with care and professionalism. Our target is approximately 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling that reflects the nature of the work — on-call availability and occasional weekends are part of the role, and overtime does arise. We believe strongly in giving time back: if call volume has been high, or if a Friday afternoon is quiet, we'll send you home. Flexibility goes both ways here.
Responsibilities Funeral arrangements and directing services Pre-arranged funeral services and contracts Embalming and transfers Aftercare — assistance with government documents and final estate matters As a small team, all staff contribute to the day-to-day running of the business. This can include preparing and printing memorial materials (cards and bookmarks), general computer tasks, maintaining manual records, driving to the crematorium, and keeping the building and vehicles clean and presentable.
What We're Looking For Valid Ontario Funeral Director's Class 1 Licence (required) Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record (required) 3+ years of experience preferred — though we welcome applicants at any stage of their career Strong attention to detail; accuracy and correct spelling in all written materials is essential Strong numeracy and attention to financial detail. Invoicing is done in-house and manually. Candidates should be comfortable going beyond straightforward addition Comfortable with everyday technology: MS Word, printing, basic computer tasks A team player who takes pride in their work and their community

Work Location: In person — Parry Sound, ON P2A 1T7. Candidates must reliably commute or be willing to relocate prior to start.
