Expected Salary Range : $61,000 - 76,000 Maximum Bonus Potential : 15% target bonus, that rewards exceptional performance. The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Finance, the Corporate Accountant is primarily responsible for driving the full cycle accounting process for Amica’s corporate entities and transition to the new management company, including the identification and implementation of process improvements, streamline month end close, and supporting the Corporate Finance team as applicable. What you will be doing Drive the full cycle accounting process for corporate entities, which includes preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the current month-end closing process Adhere to established accounting controls and implement additional procedures as necessary to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data Provide insight on drivers for key variances between periods on the balance sheet and monthly, quarterly and annual income statements Assist in the preparation and provision of schedules to support financial audits Preparing support required to file GST/HST, partnership and corporate tax returns Support process implementation and organizational transitions, ensuring continuity, accuracy, and efficiency Contribute to the implementation of system changes, controls, and new accounting policies as required Ad-hoc requests and tasks as needed What you will bring Minimum three years in a Finance/Accounting role Intermediate Excel skills with a demonstrated ability to work with large datasets Excellent interpersonal skills including written, verbal and presentation Strong attention to detail & an ability to interpret results to support business growth Team oriented with an ability to build strong working relationships across the organization Proven ability to succeed in a high-volume environment Hold or be actively pursuing a Canadian accounting designation Nice to have experience using Yardi and OneStream/Hyperion Nice to have experience accounting under IFRS Nice to have experience in similar industry What you can expect from us A diverse and inclusive environment where individual differences are celebrated, and you’re encouraged to be your best self A collaborative environment where we work together to succeed as a team Learning opportunities to help you grow and support for professional development and designations Comprehensive benefit package including RRSP matching Participation in Amica’s Hybrid work model providing team members the opportunity to work a combination of days both in office and remotely Our office is centrally located in the financial district, on the PATH and the TTC subway line, and provides easy access to downtown amenities #SO-Hiring-AMICA
