The successful candidate will be required to work Day shift 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g. offices, restrooms, conference rooms, warehouse, grounds, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment Some of the facilities are spread out around the property Delivers a variety of items (e.g. supplies, chemicals, bags, catering items to nearby buildings, mail, packages, furniture, etc.) Other duties as assigned by management EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3 years' experience in industrial settings 1-3 years' experience in janitorial or similar role Must have reliable transportation Willingness to learn Ability to work independently Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position Ability to work under minimal supervision Results-oriented individual Effective reading and oral communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals Ability to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, leaning, climbing, extended hours of walking and/or standing Must have the ability to lift, push and pull between 50+ pounds WE OFFER: $26.85 an hour Uniforms provided Safety shoe/boot program Darling International Canada Inc. is committed to a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities where our facilities are located.
