About LOVE BC LOVE BC (Leave Out Violence Society BC) partners with schools across Metro Vancouver to deliver free violence-prevention programming for youth in grades 6-12. Through art, media, self-defense, and anti-oppression workshops, we help young people build emotional resilience, healthy relationships, and community connection.
Position Overview The Program Coordinator supports facilitation staff and program quality, monitors youth attendance and retention, and manages the day-to-day logistics that keep weekly programming running smoothly.
Contract Dates: October 15, 2026 to June 15, 2027 (potentially extendable)
Key Responsibilities Facilitation (15 hrs/week): Facilitate 3 days per week of programming (two sessions per day, approx. 50 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes), including setup, teardown, travel between sites, and session notes. Staff Support (3 hrs/week): Conduct one monthly check-in per facilitator and coordinate monthly staff training. Youth Casework (2 hrs/week): Manage referrals and bursary intake. Retention (3 hrs/week): Review weekly attendance, follow up with youth missing sessions and school outreach. Program Logistics (4 hrs/week): Manage schedule updates, materials ordering, food/snacks, and delivery/pickup coordination. Data & Reporting (3 hrs/week): Track attendance, compile session feedback summaries and surveys, compile term reports, and file expenses.
Qualifications Experience working with youth (ages 11-18) in program or facilitation settings. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable supporting other facilitators. Reliable transportation for travel between school sites. Experience with case management, attendance tracking, or administration is an asset.
Compensation & Schedule $28.00/hour for 30 hours/week with 2 weeks of paid holidays (for an 8 month contract). The schedule includes 3 days of in-school facilitation and the rest is flexible and remote.
