About the Role: Reporting to the Supervisor, Inventory & Logistics, we are seeking a Clerk V to join our team in Edmonton, AB. The Clerk V role will be an integral member of the Inventory & Logistics Team and will be responsible for performing specialized and complex administrative activities in support of the business area and may have a greater impact to the organization. As a Clerk V (Inventory Planner) you will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and optimizing inventory turnover to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory costs. May be required to coordinate the efforts of others in related work. This position provides in-depth technical expertise related to the administrative processes and systems within the business area.

What You Get to Do: • Support inventory business functions and provide administrative expertise to processes. • Develop reports and reporting systems in support of the business function • Analyze and interpret complex data and make recommendations • Conduct quality assurance and control activities, such as inventory audits and inventory reconciliations to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained. • Implement document management and control systems and processes • Identify, investigate, analyze, and provide recommendations to resolve specialized issues • Research and compile data from multiple internal and external sources in support of various initiatives • Prepare complex/specialized documents to fulfill legal and/or regulatory requirements • Liaise with other departments and resolve escalated issues • Review work and/or provide support for junior positions or new employees • Develop and implement specialized administrative processes and conduct continuous improvement activities • Coordinate cross-functional activities and/or processes to ensure timely procurement and delivery of inventory materials and the maintenance of optimal stock levels across multiple locations • Coordinate stakeholder and customer information and inquiries

What You Bring: • High School Diploma plus certificate in a related field • Minimum of 5 years related experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Expert level skills in the use of computer applications (MS Office, databases) • Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to handle multiple competing requests • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) • Proven ability to conduct quality assurance and control activities on own work and work of others • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Demonstrated ability to work successfully under occasional supervision
