The University Secretariat Portfolio oversees the Human Rights Office (HRO), the Ombudsperson and the Internal Audit Office. The HRO oversees the administration of SFU's Human Rights Policy (GP18) and Bullying and Harassment Policy (GP47), and provides community-wide education on addressing and preventing discrimination, bullying and harassment. The Ombudsperson is an independent, impartial and confidential resource that provides information and guidance on students' rights and responsibilities, and University policies and procedures. The Internal Auditor oversees all internal audit activity at the University, and works to improve the University’s management processes, operations and governance processes through a comprehensive, risk-based internal audit plan. About the Role The Confidential Administrative Professional III provides confidential administrative, financial, and operational support to the University Secretariat Portfolio, including the Human Rights Office, Ombudsperson and Internal Audit Office (“USEC Offices”). Acting as a trusted administrative hub, the role manages sensitive information, financial coordination, and records administration across multiple oversight functions with distinct and independent mandates, operating within a high-discretion, confidential information environment. Full Job Description Qualifications Diploma in Business or Administrative Management or related field, and four years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Good knowledge of the University’s general and administrative policies, procedures and processes. Good knowledge of the University’s organizational and governance structure as well as reporting relationships. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication (oral and written), analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
