The Department of Justice is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of Manager, Provincial Offences Court.
Duties:
The Manager, Provincial Offences Court provides leadership and operational oversight for frontline clerical and data entry staff to ensure efficient, accurate court operations. The role coordinates staffing, scheduling, and workflow while ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and judicial directives. The Manager supports training, resource allocation, and continuous improvement to adapt to operational and legislative changes. The position also maintains collaborative relationships with the judiciary, justice partners, and the public to support timely access to justice.

Qualifications:
Essential:

Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience managing staff in high-volume, fast-paced administrative or court environments.

Experience working in, and thorough knowledge of, court operations and Provincial Offences Court procedures.

Ability to independently interpret and apply statutes, rules, and policies using sound judgment and discretion.
-
Experience interpreting and applying relevant legislation, regulations, and judicial requirements.
-
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with proven ability to coordinate complex schedules and competing priorities.
-
Excellent English verbal communication skills.
-
Excellent English written communication skills.
-
Experience with conflict-resolution and de-escalation skills in challenging or sensitive situations.
Desired:
- Proficiency with court systems and standard office software, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies. (i.e.: CCAIN, KB Registry and CON)
