Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (Deputy CAO)Village of LyttonThe Village of Lytton is seeking a full-time, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (Deputy CAO) to provide senior leadership in municipal operations and governance. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Deputy CAO will oversee day-to-day municipal operations and ensure efficient service delivery while supporting governance and legislative compliance.This role offers a unique career opportunity, with potential to progress into a CAO role combined with other executive leadership responsibilities (e.g., Corporate Officer or Chief Financial Officer), depending on experience and organizational needs.The salary for this position is $120,000 to $150,000, plus benefits, depending on experience.Key responsibilities of this position include: Leadership and administration Council support and governance Financial management Strategic planning and organizational performance Community and intergovernmental relationsQualifications: Experience in a rural local government and a small, unionized environment is preferred, along with a degree in public administration or a related field. Strong knowledge of BC municipal governance, relevant legislation, and First Nations relations is required.Working Conditions Based in Lytton (relocation required) Attendance at evening meetings and community events is required Occasional travel may be requiredAbout LyttonLocated 3 hours north of Vancouver and 2 hours west of Kamloops, Lytton is rebuilding after the June 30, 2021, wildfire.
