About the role
About Wonderly Wonderly is building the first end-to-end AI business platform for service businesses. The roofers, contractors, med spas, and law firms that make up the majority of the economy are excellent at their craft and poor at running a business — and most of them should be generating 2–5x more revenue than they currently are. Today, solving this means hiring an agency, stitching together a dozen tools, and spending weeks on setup and maintenance. Even then, results are inconsistent and systems break constantly. Wonderly replaces all of it. Ads, website, lead intake, CRM, AI receptionist, follow-up, and project delivery — all in one platform, fully set up in minutes. Because we own every layer, nothing breaks at the seams. The integrations that fail in stitched-together systems simply don't exist inside Wonderly. What makes us different is that AI is native to the platform, not bolted on. Our agents don't just suggest — they actually run ads, build websites, answer calls, qualify leads, book meetings, follow up, and move deals through the pipeline. The goal is not incremental improvement. The goal is to take a business from a non-functional system to a high-performing one almost immediately. With backing from YC and Sam Altman, a $500M+ valuation, and hundreds of thousands of users, we're well positioned to lead. We're building for the majority of businesses in the economy. For them, AI doesn't need to be customizable — it needs to work. Wonderly is intense, fast, and not for everyone. If you want to work with top talent, push yourself harder than you thought possible, and help redefine how AI actually drives revenue for real businesses, you'll thrive here.
About the Hiring Manager Hey, I'm Victoria. Most people call me V. I run support and ops here. I've built phone teams at four different companies now, and the thing I've learned is that the resume tells you almost nothing. I've hired people with perfect backgrounds who fell apart on their first hard call, and people with no relevant experience who turned out to be the best on the floor. What actually predicts it: are you quick, do you take feedback without getting weird about it, and do you care whether the customer gets handled right. If you're a CSR or dispatcher at a home services company right now, you already have the hard part. You know what a real lead sounds like versus someone pricing around. You've handled the callback from the guy whose tech never showed. That instinct takes years and I can't teach it. The pitch for doing it here instead: you'd do it for dozens of contractors instead of one, and when you spot something broken you can actually fix it. At most places you'd spend two years proving yourself before anyone let you near how things work. Here, if you've got a better idea about the callback cadence, you say it Monday and we're testing it Wednesday. Fast, intense, not for everyone. But if you've ever been the person who could see exactly what was broken and had no way to change it, this is the job where you get to.
The Role You'll call the leads we generate for our customers, qualify them fast, and book onsite appointments on the contractor's behalf — so all the business owner has to do is show up and close. If you've run a board at a home services company, this will feel familiar. Same work, different seat: Inbound and outbound calls on new leads, usually within seconds or minutes of the lead coming in Qualify — job type, scope, urgency, budget, whether they're actually ready to move Book the appointment into the contractor's calendar and confirm it sticks Follow up on anyone who doesn't pick up, on a real cadence, until they're worked or they're dead Keep the CRM spotless — every call, outcome, and next step logged, because our ad spend is targeted off that data Speed is everything. The whole model works because we work leads faster and better than anyone, and you're the person who makes that real, call after call.
Why This Beats the Shop You're At Now If you're a CSR or dispatcher today, you're probably: The only person who really knows how the board works Fielding angry calls that aren't your fault Making $20–26 an hour with a ceiling you can already see Watching the owner leave money on the table because nobody's working the old leads Here: You do one thing and you do it well. Call leads, qualify, book. You're not also doing payroll, ordering parts, or chasing invoices. The leads are already warm. We generate them. You're not cold calling. Better tools. Everything in one place. No jumping between four systems. A real path. This is the entry point to our sales org. Crush it and the road to BDR, senior sales, or ops is short. You'd see it work across dozens of contractors, not one. You learn more in six months here than five years at one shop.
Backgrounds That Tend to Work Strongest fit: CSR, dispatcher, or scheduler at an HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, or restoration company Anyone who's run a board on ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or similar Inside sales or appointment setting in the trades Also works: Call center, high-volume customer service, or any phone-first role New grads who ran something serious — a club, a team, a side hustle, a sport Retail, serving, anything high-volume and people-facing Backgrounds we care less about: Roles where the bar was showing up, not outcomes Anything slow-paced or heavily scripted What matters more than the resume: You're comfortable on the phone all day and don't get rattled You're fast, coachable, and competitive — you want to win You're organized enough to keep clean records without being told twice When something's off, you flag it and fix it Bilingual English/Spanish is a real plus
Expectations High call volume. This is a phone-first role. Real ownership of your leads and booking targets within your first 2 weeks Weekend coverage on a rotation. Leads come in on weekends and the whole point is that we work them faster than anyone. If you're not open to some weekend work, this isn't the role. The scope evolves constantly. If you want a stable job description, this isn't it.
Full-Time or Part-Time We're hiring both. Full-time: 40+ hours, weekend rotation, full benefits, and the fastest path into BDR and beyond. Part-time: 20–30 hours with set shifts — good if you're currently at a shop and want to test this before jumping, or if you need a schedule that works around something else. Part-timers who perform get first look at full-time roles. Tell us which you're after when you apply. Either way you get real leads, real targets, and real coaching.
Compensation Full-time: $60,000–$80,000 (base + on-target earnings) Part-time: $29–38/hour + performance bonuses Equity in Wonderly Remote (North America & Canada), with regular in-person at hacker house Wonderly is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect and given equal opportunities. We do not discriminate based on gender identity, race, ancestry, disability, religion, sexual orientation, pregnancy status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. We welcome and encourage all qualified candidates to apply for our job openings.
About Wonderly
Wonderly AI works 24/7 to get more qualified leads, book appointments, support your sales process, streamline project fulfillment, and handle customer communications.
We are fortunate to have worked with hundreds of Services SMBs over the past 2 years - including home services like construction and painting, professionals services like accounting and law firms, healthcare services like medical spas and health clinics, manufacturing services like signage makers and car wrappers, agencies like marketing and design agencies, and many more.
One common pattern we noticed is that less than 5% of these SMBs are utilizing the power of AI beyond ChatGPT; only those with technical owners or who’ve paid top-tier automation agencies have deployed any AI Agents. This is in sharp contrast to tech companies and Fortune 500’s, where everyone is actively deploying Agents from Sales and Marketing to Customer Support and Ops. Fortune 500’s have millions to spend for each use case, and tech companies have engineers to custom-build everything out. AI Agents are expensive to build and require a ton of engineering resources to work (hence the term “forward deployed engineers.”)
As a result, SMBs are left behind - they can’t afford millions in implementation and don’t have the technical expertise. No one is building AI that works for them.
We want to level the playing field for SMBs against well-resources tech companies and larger enterprises - AI should help SMBs thrive instead of getting left behind. Over 70% of all businesses in North America are Services SMBs - they make up the economy. At Wonderly, we are here to help these Services SMBs win.
