Key Responsibilities

Work with operating superintendents to schedule foremen and labour as required on shift basis.

Understand the Collective Bargaining Agreements with respect to labour supply and allocation management tools.

Ensure accurate recording and report generation.

Assist with tasks for operation superintendents – including job planning, safe work procedure review/development.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree or technical school. Transportation logistics certification is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in dispatch and logistics industry, material bulk loading/unloading in a waterfront, mining, rail, or similar operation.
Skills

Ability to understand complex workflow and scheduling.

Ability to work under pressure, resulting from rapid changes to workflow.

Demonstrates excellence in organizational skills, attention to detail and documentation.

Strong relationship building and interpersonal communication skills, coupled with the ability to foster an environment of mutual cooperation and respect.

Superior communication skills (written and verbal).
-
Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
