POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the VP Operations and working closely with the Director of Procurement & Vendor Partnerships, the Procurement Coordinator plays an important role in supporting Waste Logic's national procurement and vendor partnership strategy.
This position combines procurement coordination, vendor management, contract administration, and data analysis to help ensure the company delivers best-in-class service while maximizing value from its network of vendor partners. The successful candidate will help develop procurement best practices, support sourcing initiatives, analyze pricing and vendor performance, and contribute to continuous improvement across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Procurement Coordination Support sourcing initiatives, vendor selection activities, and competitive bid processes. Coordinate vendor onboarding and ensure required documentation, compliance requirements, and contracts are complete. Assist with preparing vendor evaluations, RFPs, pricing comparisons, and procurement recommendations. Support contract administration, including tracking renewals, amendments, and key contractual obligations. Help develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Vendor Management Build productive relationships with Waste Logic's network of vendor partners. Maintain accurate vendor records, pricing schedules, and service information. Assist with vendor performance reviews using established scorecards and KPIs. Support resolution of vendor-related operational, billing, or service issues in collaboration with Operations and Customer Experience. Participate in regular vendor performance meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze vendor pricing, spend, market trends, and operational data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Assist with developing procurement dashboards, reports, and performance metrics. Support benchmarking activities across vendors, markets, equipment types, and service levels. Monitor pricing accuracy and identify discrepancies or trends requiring further investigation. Provide analytical support for customer pricing, procurement initiatives, and strategic projects.
Contract & Pricing Administration Maintain organized contract files and procurement documentation within Waste Logic's CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) software Track contract expiry dates, renewal opportunities, and pricing updates. Support pricing reviews and vendor negotiations through research and analytical preparation. Assist with maintaining standardized pricing databases and procurement records.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Customer Experience, Sustainability, Business Development, Finance, and Information Systems to support procurement initiatives. Provide procurement and vendor-related analysis for customer proposals, pricing exercises, and operational improvements. Support implementation of procurement initiatives across company systems and processes.
Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve procurement workflows, reporting, and vendor management practices. Assist with developing procurement KPIs and reporting standards. Support strategic procurement projects and other initiatives as assigned. Continuously expand procurement knowledge through professional development and industry best practices.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline. 2-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, vendor management, purchasing, or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; familiarity with French would be beneficial but is not essential. Formal procurement education is strongly preferred. Progress toward or interest in obtaining SCMP designation is considered an asset. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make practical business recommendations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Power BI, ERP systems, procurement platforms, or CRM systems is an asset. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in the waste, transportation, logistics, or environmental services industry is considered an asset.
