Location: Montreal, QC Work Arrangement: 5 days onsite (initial 3 months), 3 days onsite, 2 days remote(After 3 months) Only candidates legally eligible to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship will be contacted About the Role We are hiring a Commercial Loan Process Associate to join a dynamic Commercial Banking Operations team supporting Supply Chain Finance and corporate lending activities. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a finance background and experience in commercial banking, loan operations, or lending support who are looking to grow their career in a fast-paced banking environment. The successful candidate will support the end-to-end administration of commercial loan transactions while ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Process commercial loan transactions, including drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, and amendments. Maintain and update loan facilities in internal banking systems in accordance with approved credit agreements. Coordinate funding requests and cash movements with internal teams and external stakeholders. Process interest, fees, and loan-related transactions while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Perform daily reconciliations and investigate outstanding items, exceptions, and discrepancies. Review loan documentation and ensure compliance with credit agreements and internal procedures. Collaborate with Operations, Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Relationship Management teams to support loan servicing activities. Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in commercial banking, loan operations, lending support, financial operations, or a related banking environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and identify discrepancies. Knowledge of commercial lending products and the loan lifecycle is an asset. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred Experience Commercial or corporate banking operations. Loan administration or loan servicing. Syndicated or bilateral lending exposure. Reconciliation, settlement, or cash management. Experience with banking or loan servicing systems (e.g., ACBS, Loan IQ, or similar platforms) is considered an asset. Key Responsibilities: Prepare daily cash reporting and support cash management activities Perform bank reconciliations and investigate/resolve reconciling items Monitor bank balances and ensure alignment with financial systems Support payment activities, including wires, cheques, and banking transactions Prepare journal entries related to banking activities and service charges Work with internal teams and banking partners to resolve transaction-related issues Support compliance reporting and documentation requirements Assist with KYC-related activities, including data validation and document verification Maintain accurate records and support audit requirements Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in treasury operations, cash management, or banking functions Strong experience with bank reconciliations and financial data analysis Exposure to KYC, compliance processes, or client/entity verification is an asset Experience working with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred) Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, data analysis) Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills PlanIT is an equal opportunity employer.
