Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition, Food, Linen and Environmental Services (NFLES), the NFLES Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership for Nutrition & Food Services, Linen Services and Environmental Services. You will help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors and staff while supporting a team that is committed to high-quality service. In this role, you will coordinate daily operations, support and coach team members and help ensure work is completed safely and efficiently. You will work with other healthcare professionals to provide resident-centered service and maintain quality standards. You will also assist with staff scheduling, operational planning and continuous improvement activities. This position may require evening or weekend work to support operational needs. Eligible employees will be reimbursed for the cost of one (1) round trip, per calendar year, to any destination within Alberta. Travel must originate from a community above the 57th parallel to any destination within Alberta and cannot be carried over.

Required Qualifications:
You have completed Grade 12 or have gained an equivalent level of reading, writing and communication skills through work, training or life experience and are able to understand instructions, complete documentation and communicate effectively. You have completed a Food Service Management course, leadership training or have gained comparable knowledge through experience leading people or coordinating work. You have experience leading or coordinating a team in a workplace, volunteer organization, family business or community setting in healthcare, hospitality, food services, environmental services, retail, manufacturing, agriculture or other service industries.
Additional Required Qualifications:
You have experience organizing work, supporting schedules, solving day-to-day problems and providing good customer service. You hold a current Food Safe Certificate or are willing to obtain one. You understand the importance of infection prevention, safe work practices and maintaining a clean environment. You have good organizational, communication and problem-solving skills and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds. You can build positive relationships, support others and adapt to changing priorities. You are confident using computer applications and can quickly learn new software systems to support scheduling, staffing and administrative processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in healthcare, continuing care, hospitality, housekeeping, food services or another customer service environment would be an asset along with experience supervising staff or leading teams in a unionized workplace.
