Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Administrative Assistant role based in Markham, ON. The Accounting Administrative Assistant will support daily accounting operations by processing invoices, preparing basic financial entries, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reconciliations. The role will handle administrative tasks such as managing correspondence, organizing documents, scheduling meetings, and supporting internal communication between accounting, operations, and management. The individual will assist with tracking payables and receivables, updating accounting software, and helping prepare reports for internal stakeholders. The position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity. Qualifications Strong Administrative Assistance skills, including document management, scheduling, and general office coordination. Foundational knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles to support daily bookkeeping and reporting tasks. Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and related tools for data entry, reconciliations, and reporting. Practical experience with Invoicing, including preparing, processing, and tracking payables and receivables. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), strong numerical accuracy, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on-site full time in Markham, ON, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in a distribution, wholesale, or product-based business environment is an asset.
