Company Description Brinery Racquet Club is Halifax’s premier private indoor racquet sports club, offering members a vibrant and active environment year-round. The club features seven dedicated pickleball courts and one padel court, supporting a range of racquet sports for all skill levels. Members enjoy wellness amenities including a sauna and cold plunge, designed to support recovery and overall well-being. The club also hosts member social events, open play sessions, and offers a bar and lounge area, creating a welcoming and community-focused atmosphere for members and guests. Role Description The Front Desk Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based at Brinery Racquet Club in Halifax, NS. This role is responsible for greeting members and guests, answering inquiries, and providing clear information about club services, programs, and schedules. Day-to-day tasks include managing phone calls and email inquiries, checking in members, processing payments, and assisting with membership registrations and event sign-ups. The Front Desk Receptionist will maintain an organized reception area, perform basic clerical and administrative duties such as data entry and record keeping, and coordinate with other staff to ensure smooth daily operations. The role also involves supporting member experience by addressing concerns, providing excellent customer service, and promoting a welcoming and professional atmosphere at the club. There will be an expectation to walk-through and clean the facility before locking up, as well as serving members coffee from our automatic machine on-site. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with members and guests. Experience with receptionist duties and phone etiquette, including handling inquiries and directing calls efficiently. Proficiency in clerical skills such as data entry, appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate records. Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a busy front desk environment. Comfort using basic computer applications and club management or booking software (training can be provided). Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent full-time schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed. Prior experience in hospitality, fitness, or club settings is an asset but not required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certificates in administration or customer service are beneficial. Already completed 'Ready-serve' an asset but not required interest in pickleball / creating programming for the club an asset but not required
