Security & Compliance at ITTC North Bay Security and compliance are central to the safe and effective operation of ITTC North Bay. As the site expands its tactical aviation training activities, the organization must maintain disciplined local security procedures, controlled goods compliance, personnel screening coordination, visitor control, training records, and documentation practices. This role supports the North Bay operation by helping ensure that employees, students, contractors, visitors, and vendors understand and follow site security expectations, while also supporting controlled goods and defence-sector compliance requirements under the direction of the Company Security Officer, Designated Official, and senior management. Position Summary The Security & Compliance Specialist - North Bay supports the day-to-day security and compliance requirements of ITPS Canada's North Bay operations. This is an intermediate role suited for someone with prior experience in security, aviation, military, policing, government, logistics, compliance, or another regulated environment who is ready to grow into controlled goods and defence-sector compliance responsibilities. The position will support local site security, personnel screening coordination, visitor control, controlled goods compliance, security awareness, and documentation. The successful candidate will act as the Alternate Designated Official for the North Bay site under the Controlled Goods Program, working under the direction of the Company Security Officer, Designated Official, and senior management. Key Responsibilities North Bay Site Security Support day-to-day security procedures for ITPS Canada's North Bay operations. Assist with local access control, visitor sign-in procedures, staff onboarding, contractor coordination, and security awareness. Maintain security-related records, logs, checklists, and documentation for the North Bay site. Help ensure staff, contractors, students, visitors, and vendors follow site security expectations. Escalate security concerns, incidents, or unusual activity to management in a timely manner. Controlled Goods & Compliance Support Act as the Alternate Designated Official for North Bay under the Controlled Goods Program. Support controlled goods compliance procedures at the North Bay site. Assist with controlled goods screening, recordkeeping, documentation, and internal tracking. Help ensure controlled goods, technical data, and sensitive materials are handled according to company procedures. Coordinate with the Company Security Officer, Designated Official, and senior management on compliance matters. Personnel Screening & Documentation Assist with personnel screening documentation and internal tracking. Support the collection and organization of forms, acknowledgements, training records, and compliance files. Maintain accurate and confidential records. Follow up with employees or managers to ensure required documentation is completed. Training & Awareness Conduct security and controlled goods awareness training for North Bay staff. Maintain training records and assist with onboarding materials. Reinforce basic security expectations with employees, students, contractors, and visitors. Promote a culture of professionalism, discretion, and compliance. Cybersecurity Awareness Support Support basic cybersecurity awareness initiatives at the North Bay site. Help communicate company policies related to passwords, access control, phishing awareness, device use, and information protection. Escalate suspected cyber or information-security concerns to IT and management. Advanced cybersecurity technical expertise is not required for this role. Qualifications & Experience 2-5 years of experience in security, compliance, administration, aviation, military, policing, government, controlled goods, logistics, or another regulated environment. Experience handling confidential or sensitive information. Strong administrative and documentation skills. Ability to follow formal procedures and maintain accurate records. Comfortable dealing with employees, contractors, visitors, students, and external stakeholders. High level of discretion, professionalism, and judgment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on site in North Bay. Must be eligible to complete required security screening and controlled goods screening. Previous exposure to the Controlled Goods Program, defence contracting, cybersecurity awareness, airport operations, or government security processes is an asset, but not required.
