Role Description The Dispatch Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Georgetown, ON. This position is responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations, including assigning and coordinating loads, routes, and schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services. The Dispatch Manager monitors fleet performance, manages driver and equipment availability, and responds to service issues or delays in real time. The role includes regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve concerns, and maintain strong service standards. The Dispatch Manager also supports operational planning, maintains accurate records, and contributes to continuous improvement of dispatch procedures and safety compliance. Qualifications Strong Supervisory Skills to lead dispatch staff, support driver performance, and manage daily team activities. Proficiency in Dispatching, including route planning, load allocation, and real-time schedule adjustments. Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate with drivers, internal teams, and external clients. Experience in Operations Management, focusing on process efficiency, resource utilization, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management; knowledge of North American trucking operations is an asset. Comfort with dispatch and fleet management software, basic data analysis, and report generation. Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site environment, prioritize multiple tasks, and make sound decisions under time constraints. Post-secondary education in logistics, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
