The Sales Assistant will support daily activities within the Sales department to include executive level and department administrative support, development of presentations, order entry, answering and returning phone calls, and executing superior customer service support. Responsibilities: Assist in developing and sustaining relationships with growers and other supply lines. Daily data entry for orders using; Famous®, Itrade®, Foodlink® Maintain communications via phone and email; provide pricing, sale confirmations, tracking info etc. Prepare monthly expense reports for Executive Vice President’s company credit cards. Examine sales data and create power point presentations for customer meetings. Establish and maintain customer profiles; storing contract pricing, promote SKU’s and products, setting up new customers and providing them with proper documentation. Assist the Executive Vice President with quick reporting and trade show preparation. Provide the Sales team with assistance while account managers are out of office. Be knowledgeable of food safety, food security and related regulatory requirements, assuring communication to and compliance by partners and growers. Other core expectations as defined by the company. Qualifications: Post-secondary education required, degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred. Minimum one (1) year experience in administrative support or equivalent combination of education and work experience. One to two (1-2) years experience in produce purchasing or sales considered an asset. Bi-lingual Spanish/French considered an asset. Intermediate level in Microsoft (MS) Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required. Prior executive administrative assistant experience providing department support is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Able to develop and maintain strong business relationships within and external to the company. Sound decision making skills and able to work in a high stress environment. Must be able to handle sensitive information with tact and maintain strict confidentiality of private information. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy, as well as consistent follow-through skills. Exceptional organizational skills are essential; results oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize workflow. Understand the need for urgency while providing outstanding customer service. Work Environment: Hours of work may vary depending on business needs; flexibility is required. Ability and willingness to travel with no restrictions; must hold a valid passport. Role requires the ability to listen and speak to other employees. Role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Specific vision capabilities required; the employee is to work in front of a computer, sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods is required. The position may involve needing to lift to 30-pounds, occasionally up to 50-pounds. Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a starting salary beginning at $55,000 CAD annually, with higher potential placement within the compensation structure based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
