The Role
We're growing! This Receptionist Office Coordinator role acts as the key to develop, implement and maintain administrative policies and procedures for Head Office and facilities. You will work with our chain of stores to support and address their repairs and maintenance issues as well as ensuring year-round maintenance planning is happening. You will also act as the "face" of Home Office. You will greet visitors in the office and ensure the office runs smoothly.
Location: This is a 5 day a week in-office role from MEC's Support Office (HO).
As the Receptionist & Office Coordinator you'll be:
- Oversee Home office programs, policies and procedures (shipping and receiving, office and floor organizations, storage, etc.).
- Oversee all front desk and reception activities.
- Maintain office supplies and services, as well as furniture, appliances, equipment etc.
- Play an active role in home office sustainability initiatives.
- Receive and track all repair and maintenance requests from MEC stores/distribution centers.
- Communicate with vendors, MEC stores/distribution centers providing project status updates, requesting information and coordinating on-site work as required.
- Enter key data into operational spreadsheets to maintain a complete project history and supplier lists.
- Support the development of standard operating procedures for the department.
- Support the Service Agreement process by coordinating and assisting in the Request for Proposals / Request for Quoting processes.
- Assist departmental staff in executing repair and maintenance and large projects.
- Develop and share operational reports/scorecards to track departmental goals
- Be available on a rotating schedule for on-call weekend shifts to respond to emergency calls – compensation provided.
What you bring:
- Post-secondary degree
- 2-5 years’ experience in an administrative / coordinator role preferred.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time while keeping your cool.
- Great communication skills – you listen first, then share knowledge. This goes for both speaking and writing.
- A hard-working attitude. You deliver on what you commit to do, even when no one is watching, and you genuinely like helping people.
- Savviness with Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, D36
The Compensation & Perks!
This is a permanent role with the anticipated salary range of $48,100 to $55,000 base + bonus. The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications and internal equity.
