This is a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, innovative, and experienced with the ability to work independently on matters involving the preparation of standard and legal documents pertaining to wills. This role will also include performing administrative work related to client intake, opening files, and sending correspondence and retainers. You will interact directly with clients and referral sources, placing a high value on relationship-building, and managing all correspondence in applying practical knowledge and skills. Collaborate with the practice group to ensure that service meets the client’s needs and aligns with firm values, manage physical and electronic in accordance with firm policies, procedures, and Law Society of Ontario requirements. Education: Graduate of Law Clerk program. Competencies: Ability to deal with people sensitively and professionally. Effective interpersonal skills and confidentiality with attention to detail. Exceptional communication and client service skills. Ability to apply critical thinking and to balance and prioritize workload. Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a demanding environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office- Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro. Experience drafting correspondence and releases. Experience using will precedents, client management software (LEAP) is an asset. Experience in wills and estates, specifically drafting legal documents, would be considered an asset.
