Résumé du poste
The Booking Clerk reports to the Diagnostic Services Manager of the Central Booking Office and Clerical. This clerk is also accountable to the Clinical Manager of the BAC. The Booking Clerk is part of the multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for booking all types of breast screening and assessment appointments, OBSP High Risk Screening Genetic Counselling appointments and follow-up surgical appointments. The Booking Clerk liaises between patients, families and physicians (both internal and community). The Booking Clerk works directly with Surgeons, Radiologists, Technologists, Nursing and Genetic Counsellors to facilitate the flow of the multidisciplinary clinic. As a member of the Diagnostic Services Team, the booking clerk may also support the booking of other diagnostic service bookings associated with the Central Booking Office and Diagnostic Services Department. 1. Graduate of community college secretarial/medical office administration program or 2-3 years of recent relevant medical office experience with a minimum of 1 year. 2. Medical Terminology certificate I and II or demonstrated knowledge acquired in a different clerical position (subject to testing). 3. Demonstrated proficiency in registration and Epic 4. Demonstrated understanding of privacy and confidentiality policies. 5. Demonstrated proficiency in keyboarding and typing skills of 40 wpm (subject to testing). 6. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and other members of the healthcare team, both verbally and written. 7. Demonstrated knowledge and skill in using computers, MS Windows, Outlook and Word. 8. Knowledge of the Ontario Breast Screening Program Integrated Client Management system with a minimum of 1 year booking experience preferred. 9.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 10. Critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently 11. Epic experience preferred 12. Medical Terminology, computer, and typing skills will be tested

Candidates must have a secretarial or medical office administration diploma or 2-3 years of relevant experience, along with proficiency in medical terminology and Epic software. Strong keyboarding skills of at least 40 wpm and a demonstrated understanding of privacy and confidentiality policies are required.
