The Radiation Therapist I reports to the Provincial Leader or Site Manager of Radiation Therapy with daily work functions supervised by a Radiation Therapist II. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Radiation Therapy Certification for Basic Life Saver (BLS)-C Licensed with Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (SAMRT) Membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) Experience No previous experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to perform a range of Radiation Therapy methods and processes including treatment planning, simulation and treatment. Accuracy of fine motor movements required for operating treatment unit controls, tattooing patients, and data entry. Human relations skills are required to develop formal relationships of a therapeutic nature to assist others in achieving their short or long term goals Maintain confidentiality. Moderate Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a variety of alternatives.
