Sanitation Supervisor shall be responsible for the following duties:

  • · Supervise the sanitation employees in there assigned work duties
  • · ensure that sanitation work orders are completed as per the master cleaning schedule, completing, reviewing department related documents
  • · Survey grounds and premises for jobs that need immediate attention and schedule the necessary labour.
  • · conduct pre-shift inspection of equipment, machinery
  • · co-ordinate and inspect cleaning of lines at change overs, down time and ensure there is no chance of contamination.
  • · ensure that all safety procedures are being adhered to by the sanitation personnel and that they are following proper handling of equipment and chemicals.
  • · ensure that all sanitation equipment is being cared for properly and being maintained on a regular basis.
  • · conduct employee training on sanitation procedures
  • · conduct sanitation audits and report in writing any non compliances and weaknesses in the sanitation department to the Sanitation Manager
  • · conduct Pest control inspections and report to Sanitation Manager any situations that could allow pests to enter the plant or any situation that would allow the harboring of pests.
  • · Conduct GMP checks and report to Sanitation Manager any deviations in procedures or protocols.
  • · conduct inspection of storage area, inspect raw and finished goods are in proper storage conditions preventing any contamination.
  • · conduct inventory of all sanitation supplies and report to Sanitation Manager e necessary replacements and refills.
  • · continuously make rounds and inspect all aspects of cleanliness of plant and equipment. Report to Sanitation Manager any problems that arise preventing equipment from being properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • · Upon making rounds direct the sanitation personnel to jobs that are found incomplete or delinquent. If there are repeated poor performances of the sanitation personnel, the sanitation supervisor will report in writing to the Sanitation Manager.
  • · co-ordinate and supervise the use of any temporary employees with proper instruction, training in procedure and safety guidelines to complete any outstanding tasks
  • · back up the Sanitation Manager in during their absence
  • · Reports to Sanitation Manager
