This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services, the incumbent provides office managerial support to Rehabilitation Services. The incumbent provides confidential administrative services with high quality of organizational and communication skills to assist and support the Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of their portfolio. The incumbent may function as a primary point of contact for the Manager responding to general information requests related to the Service, or referring calls to others as appropriate. Duties also include, but are not limited to, filing/organization tasks, minute-taking, reference checks, correspondence, setting up interviews/meetings, assisting with report writing, collecting information from the Manager’s direct reports, preparation/editing of documents, project work, IT requests, the set-up of technology for meetings, ordering of supplies, assisting the Team Leaders with tasks, and other duties to support the portfolio as assigned.

Qualifications

* Graduate of a recognized office administration program/business program/secretarial program required
* Three (3) years of administrative experience required
* Confidentiality must be maintained at all times; privy to confidential portfolio information such as human resource materials and financial data.
* Understands and works within the formal and informal influences and decision-making relationships within the organization.
* Brings to the attention of manager any issues affecting program effectiveness or efficiency.
* Is a self-starter in achieving position related goals.
* Takes action beyond explicit job responsibilities.

*Sets high performance goals, understands which decisions can be made alone and which require consultation with others and acts accordingly.

* Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Salary Information

$20.6437 - $25.8046/hourly
